Amanda screamed. A shape loomed out of the darkness. It was huge. It seemed like it had claws, or fangs. Something sharp on its feet. Arms.... Wait a second - feet? Arms? Obvioulsy this thing was human. Suddenly, Jack opened the door, his flashlight on. Never mind, it was a statue.
